
Vodafone Stadium of Fans Detail
Football fans love football but more importantly, they love shouting and that's exactly what the Vodafone Stadium of Fans is for. The Vodafone Stadium of Fans was a social networking site built to support Vodafone's sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League. Football fans from across Europe came to the site and swapped banter both on the site and via SMS. Registered users could customise their fan including uploading a picture of their own face.
I lead a team of four actionscript developers; created UML diagrams and designed the technical architecture (implements MVC and based on ARP); and built key parts of the site (including the face uploader, avatar configurator and main stadium). The site was designed by Eduardo de Felipe, Steve Whittington and Dennis Christensen.
The site won the award for Best Use of Wireless/Mobile in the 2008 M&M Awards.
